The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, Inc. was incorporated on December 10, 1992 as a Florida not-for-profit organization to preserve and interpret the writer's home. The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and interpret the home of the late poet, Laura (Riding) Jackson and to promote literary programs that nurture a passion for the written word. Included in its mission is the responsibility for bringing awareness of important issues to our community through the written word.

This has been an exciting year for the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation. Through generous donations along with a grant from FEMA, a loving and painstaking renovation was begun to preserve the wonderful “Cracker” home of Laura (Riding) Jackson that was so badly damaged in recent hurricanes.
